For many, a move to Spain comes with the intention of leading a more relaxed lifestyle, yet most soon realise that work needs to be done and bills need to be paid – the same stresses and strains as always, albeit in a different environment.   With this in mind, ask yourself: when was the last time you got a good night’s sleep? A large proportion of the population suffers from insomnia, a disorder that in the long run can have a harmful physical effect, leading to mood changes, stress, headaches and a general feeling of malaise. Manifesto Design visited this year’s main art event located in Madrid - ARCO2018. Celebrating their 37th anniversary, the theme for this years exhibition was 'The future', an exhibition full of unique designs; with galleries and artist from various generations and from all over the world, including the return of big names of the international gallerist sector. If we all just pick three items of plastic from any of the local beaches we love to visit, wouldn’t that

Before I moved to Marbella I used to live in Estoril, an elegant town on the Portuguese Riviera just half an hour west of Lisbon. It’s a wonderful area in a beautiful, scenic setting close to an equally scenic and vibrant capital city, and one where socialising and good food are top of the list. When you live in or visit Lisbon and Estoril/Cascais, the first thing people tell you to visit is the nearby mountain town of Sintra, and indeed, it’s a revelation. Where Lisbon has all the charm of a Mediterranean capital and Estoril and Cascais have the elegant feel of

Valentine’s Day is a special time to celebrate love, romance and friendship. Many people celebrate this day by showing appreciation for the people they love or adore, giving typical gifts like greeting cards, chocolates or roses… So why not ditch the flowers and instead opt for an alternative gift for this romantic day? Picking non-traditional gifts will surely surprise your sweetheart, and this will be the perfect moment to show how much you care. Here are some ideas for unusual gifts: Gift card massage for two at Nabua Thai: A quality selection of therapeutic massages from around the world, in Guadalmina Commercial Centre. A city break in
