The Manifesto Expansion Continues // Welcoming our newest Manifesto Member
The team at Manifesto has recently become one member richer! We are honoured to introduce our new office manager, Iris Van Den Hil. Iris has experience of running offices in places such as the Netherlands, Peru and Spain, making her the perfect candidate to join our international team.
As she will be your first point of contact within Manifesto, we thought it would be fun to get to know her a bit better.
Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Rotterdam, which is in the Netherlands.
How did you end up in Spain?
Growing up, my mother and I always wanted to move to another country. So, 11 years ago we booked tickets to Spain, packed our suitcases and just left.
The first year was difficult regarding work because I didn’t speak the language. But when I started to work on a cruise ship, I met my partner (who is from Peru) and the rest is history!
What is your favourite cultural difference between the Netherlands and Spain?
The people are more relaxed in Spain, in Holland everybody is always in a rush. And of course the weather!
How did you handle differences in the various countries you have worked in?
I didn’t have any choice other than to adapt myself to the workplace environment, colleagues and culture.
What is one item you always have with you? What makes it so special?
My phone (in my heart my daughters), nowadays you do everything with your phone.
What do you hope to accomplish during your time at Manifesto?
Gain new skills and improve the skills I have.
We hope you enjoyed getting to know Iris as much as we did!
Be sure to greet her warmly when she answers the phone the next time you are in need of marketing services.
