Why is branding such an important factor in your business?
Whether it is bikes that you fix or you own a major real estate company, it doesn’t matter, branding is extremely important but most companies fail in giving their business proper corporate branding. They often think that there isn’t a big enough return on investment, but in this blog I’m going to explain the key principles of branding and why it’s so important.
Merely having a logo and sticking it on everything isn’t really branding. Of course, you will recognise the logo when you see it but do you want to be remembered just for one thing alone? True branding is about: “recognising the company without seeing its logo.” If you have reached that level of branding you are miles ahead, not only in marketing but also corporate personality and overall customer experience.
But how do you reach that kind of level in your business? Start by asking yourself: what does my business stand for, what feeling does my business inspire in clients? If you know the kind of image you have within your business, you should dress the business to the image you want to achieve.
Why is branding so important?
As mentioned at the beginning of this blog, you should recognise the business not only by the logo. If your company has a strong identity you will attract employees that fit your branding culture, they will feel more like they belong to your business and they are more likely to stay with your business, which eventually evolves into better team chemistry. Customers are brand aware. If you treat your employees well and take care of your branding culture they will see your business as a generous and fun brand/business. This makes a difference – for example, who would you choose to fly with between United Airlines or Delta?
