Glamour comes to Marbella at the Kempinski Hotel Bahía

Already a famous five-star deluxe resort hotel, the recently refurbished Kempinski Hotel Bahía was the perfect venue for one of the most elegant events on the annual Marbella calendar – the second edition of the annual Costa del Sol Beach Polo Cup.

Organised by Isabel de Borbon, it is a stylish event that draws not only an international elite of top polo teams and players, but also glamorous guests such as Countess Gunilla von Bismarck, the Mayor of Estepona and many other local notables to the stylish beachside marquis situated right by the brand new restaurant Spiler Beach Club.

Here guests were greeted with a glass of Champagne and the magnificent scene of beach polo played right by the shores of the Mediterranean, with Marbella’s iconic La Concha Mountain in the background. The hospitality was, well, five-star, in keeping with the venue and the occasion, where spectators lined up along the coastal pathway and international teams did battle for the title, which in the end went to the Perlage team.

The sport and relaxed beachside entertainment moved on to the Polo Glam Lunch and After Polo Party – reliving the classic days of Marbella refinement and sophistication with the most elegant of sporting events.
