GOODBYE MARBELLA, GOODBYE MANIFESTO DESIGN
All good things must come to an end. After almost five months doing my marketing internship at Manifesto Design it’s time to say goodbye. During my time with the company I learned a lot and had the opportunity to develop myself even more. I can say without a doubt that I improved my written English and gained international experience in the marketing world. I couldn’t have done this without the help of my nice colleagues at Manifesto Design.
This last blog is the perfect opportunity to thank the company for all the opportunities they have given me. I came here with an open mind and willingness to learn, and I leave with the feeling that I have accomplished everything I set out to achieve. Even better, I could really be myself in the process.
I especially would like to thank Rhea for mentoring me and delegating the daily tasks. She is the one that had to check my work every day, which especially in the beginning couldn’t have been a fun task.
Also big thanks to Jackie for including me in the David Toms charity. She almost helped me into a modelling career and has given me an extra challenge and own project for a really good cause. Even though I don’t now David personally, just working together and speaking to the people close to him made me want to put in the extra effort. I had so much fun participating in the treasure hunt fundraising event with the Manifesto dream team.
Living on my own in Marbella was sometimes challenging, but overall a big success. Lucky for me my colleague Adriano was nice enough to give me a ride to work every day, reducing the need for adventurous bus rides. A tip to everybody who is thinking about moving here; a car is almost a necessity.
I loved Marbella Old Town and Puerto Banús is beautiful in its own right. I don’t think Marbella is the right place for me, but my time here has been wonderful. I got to work in a marketing agency that allowed me to see the whole marketing process from beginning to end.
Andalucía is truly magnificent. What a beautiful landscape, and the weather has been really nice to me. Now I’m going back to the Netherlands where summer lasts one or two days and it’s always on the day you have to work.
I made memories that no-one is ever going to take away from me. I leave Manifesto Design to the next intern, the lovely French Marion. I have got to know her and I’m sure she will do a good job.
To everyone I have been in contact with during my time here, I wish you all the best and maybe we will meet each other again. Don’t forget, if you find yourself in need of a marketing agency in Marbella, you know where to go to.
