Manifesto Design helps raise over €5,000 for David Toms at Mad Hatters Tea Party

The Mad Hatters Tea Party organised at The Terrace with Loulou Jane on Friday 14th December was a great success, raising a total of €5,175 euros in aid of the David Toms fund. The Marbella community came together in aid of the much-loved photographer, who suffered an accident last year. The money raised will go towards his care at Jasmin Care in Alhaurín de la Torre. His friends and colleagues came together in a show of community and solidarity also to spend time with David, who joined the Christmas season event in Benavista.

The Terrace was a perfect venue, with over 50 guests making it a very cosy afternoon in the charming indoor pub and dining area. They enjoyed a quirky Mad Hatter’s party complete with finger food, snacks and sweet delights, as well as well cava and cocktails in teapots – all accompanied by live performances by Antony Wolfson, Helena Paul and Johnny Baker, whose birthday celebration was not forgotten. There was also a guest performance by Nathan Dean ensuring that a very broad range of musical tastes was catered to.

We would like to thank all who participated and made this such a fun and heart-warming event, not to mention those who helped us raise more than double the original target. Thanks also to our evening’s compere, Hannah Murray and Selina MacKenzie of Talk Radio Europe, Karl Smallman of Euro Weekly News, Nicole King of RTV Marbella, the artists and all the wonderful businesses that provided a fantastic range of raffle prizes. A special thanks to the three hardworking organisers: Antony Wolfson, Joanne Pitcher of The Terrace, who hosted a fantastic event, and Jackie Stone of Manifesto, who worked very hard to coordinate everything on behalf of David. As Hannah Murray said: “We were all there for our friend David Toms, and it was a joy to see the community come together like this.”
