ALEVANTE MARBELLA: FIRST CLASS DINING IN A STUNNING SETTING
As a foodie, I was excited to try the recently relaunched Alevante Restaurant located on the first floor of the Real Club Marítimo in the heart of Marbella’s charming marina – and it didn’t disappoint!
The sister restaurant of Beckett’s offers a first class dining experience with impressive views, a warm welcome and excellent service.
Decorated in chic Yacht Club style, upon entering the ambiance is elegant and inviting. One of the most striking features is the stunning views of the beach and over the Puerto Deportivo (Marbella’s Port) – creating the ultimate ‘date night’ or ‘date day’ experience.
The enticing menu offers a wide selection of international dishes with flavours from around the world. They range from fresh seafood and succulent steaks to a traditional Sunday roast – in fact, there is something to suit everyone, including gluten free options.
I visited the restaurant on a Sunday, which seemed to be a particular favourite with locals and it’s easy to see why, with the ‘Sunday Special Menu’ offering three courses for €25 – very good value for money considering the quality of the food.
Our balcony table offered views over both the beach and the marina, and the live jazz music added to the relaxed setting.
To start I had the grilled black pudding with goat’s cheese foam and a honey and mustard dressing, followed by the breast of chicken wrapped in Parma Ham stuffed with wild mushrooms and black truffle – both of which I highly
recommend! If you have room for dessert it’s a tough decision between the deconstructed cheese cake and the mixed berry trifle, which features an impressive decorative element!
Whether you are looking for a lazy lunch while gazing out to the beach, a sunset dinner with marina views or to relax and unwind to the sound of some live jazz at a comfortable bar area, I would definitely recommend Alevante – I will be visiting again.
