Content marketing mistakes in Marbella
Good content is ultimately one of the most important aspects of marketing for any business. Content marketing is not only a great way to engage with your customers but it allows you to show that you are an expert in your field, which in turn helps to gain respect and brand loyalty. Unfortunately it seems to be the one element that many companies have difficulty with.
Writing engaging copy takes time; not only does it need to be interesting, entertaining and grammatically correct, but it also has to be crafted in such a way as to make the reader want to dive head first into a relationship with your brand.
This is something we at Manifesto Design are very aware of, and every member of our team is passionate about content marketing in Marbella, so we have put together a list of things to take into consideration in your marketing strategy.
Content marketing needs to be marketed
Content marketing is two words—it isn’t just about the writing and it certainly won’t market itself! It is essential that you take the time to develop engaging content that readers don’t just need, but also want to read. Today we are surrounded by multiple social media and advertising platforms, which are shouting at us to rent an audience from them, giving the illusion that it’s an easy process—however it is important to remember that whilst it is easy to buy reach, it is very difficult to buy love. There is little point in talking to someone who isn’t listening.
First you must identify who your target market is and what you want them to do with the information you are offering them, and only then is it possible to identify how you are going to get your content out there and make it work for you.
Don’t just create content for SEO
Whilst including keywords into your copywriting is very important for search engine optimisation (SEO), creating text that is focused purely on this can be bland, dull and frankly a waste of time. However, not including keywords is content marketing suicide—not only do you need to capture the attention and hearts of your audience but it is equally as important to capture the attention of Google.
Don’t overlook the call to action
Every piece of content should have a call to action—in simple terms what you want the reader to do, whether this is to click through to your website or to call a member of your team. After all, the point of this form of marketing is to encourage the reader to engage with you.
