Newsletters – a good way to keep in touch with your customers
Keeping in touch with your clients after they have used your services can be tricky, if you are a shop or a service company like real estate or a law firm. Normally your clients use your service once, or maybe a couple of times, but they’re not likely to return to you on a weekly basis like they would a supermarket. So how do you make sure that those clients don’t forget about you, stay loyal and recommend YOU to their friends?
Of course, the most important element is the way you treat your business and your clients, and that the services or products you provide are the best. But let’s assume you are one of those businesses who knows what you are doing. So how do you keep in touch but not be too pushy to the point where your ex-customer applies for a ‘restraining order’? 🙂
A newsletter is the answer! We have written about the newsletters in the past and explained their importance, but we just wanted to remind you again. So let´s take a look at the advantages that it can bring you:
Awareness: sending a newsletter gives you an opportunity to increase the understanding of your service or your product. Even your existing customers may not fully know or understand the whole spectrum of your business. By including these important elements in your newsletter and call to action buttons, it will encourage your readers to find out more and visit your website.
Promotion: You can promote a special offer/discount, product, event or service. By sending out a newsletter with a special offer to your costumers you enhance it and give it more value.
Excellence/expertise: By sending out a newsletter with information that can be useful for your clients you demonstrate your expertise in your sector and also that you are always up to date with the latest news. For example, if you have a real estate company it would be very useful to send out a newsletter when there are changes to the law or some important news about the real estate market. Don´t be afraid to share with your clients the articles from your blog section, if you write it´s because the information is useful, so go ahead and share it.
Contact: And of course as we mentioned before the contact is probably one of the main advantages of the newsletters. By sending out regular newsletters, weekly or monthly you reassure your clients that you are still in business, that you are active and that you do not forget about them.
